Seeking Childcare Volunteers

What Is It?

WAVE is hoping to find some community members whom we would be able to reach out to to watch children. You volunteering your time allows parents to attend WAVE support groups, court proceedings, and other WAVE events. Childcare is often a barrier for parents experiencing power based violence when they need address parts of these types of situations that are not child appropriate.

Training Provided

Volunteers would always have a co-sitter while they were watching the kids. WAVE has a two sitters at a time minimum policy for childcare. WAVE would provide a 2 hour abuse prevention training and first-aid/CPR training. WAVE will provide the childcare location.
