    WAVE is seeking additional volunteers for our support line.

    What Is It? WAVE is seeking additional volunteers for our hotline. Training is provided, no experience necessary. Our 24 hour line is intended as a support line. Some calls may be someone having a time of stress that they just need to talk through. We are a supportive ear to listen. We also provide crisis intervention, information, referrals, and support to sexual assault survivors after hours. This may be in-person support during forensic exams or while making a police repo

    What Is It? WAVE is hoping to find some community members whom we would be able to reach out to to watch children. You volunteering your time allows parents to attend WAVE support groups, court proceedings, and other WAVE events. Childcare is often a barrier for parents experiencing power based violence when they need address parts of these types of situations that are not child appropriate.     What Is It? Utilize a special skill (art, music, yoga, cooking, etc) to provide education and support to survivors or a class open to the general public. The special skill events will be co-facilitated by a staff member of WAVE. Examples of this could be if we need extra hands at a Let Me Run race, help running Art by the Inch, or volunteers at the Health Fair.
